Welcome to the quick source for invasive species expertise and information at MSU! Invasive species present one of today's most important environmental and social challenges. As a hub of international travel and commerce, Michigan and the Great Lakes region are particularly vulnerable to invasive species. Michigan State University has a diverse faculty and staff with internationally recognized expertise and programs on invasive species research, education and outreach. NEW - MSU Invasive Species Initiative 2008 symposium abstracts are available. NEW - Invasive Plant Science and Management (IPSM) is a quarterly journal published in in hard copy and on-line format. IPSM covers biology and ecology of invasive plants and also many other aspects related to invasive plant management and restoration, ecological and environmental impacts, risk and/or cost/benefit analyses related to management, case studies, and updates on new invasive plants and policy, compliance and regulatory legislation. In addition, the journal will provide review articles on important and timely topics related to invasive plants.
